Satellites have always lived on borrowed time. Every maneuver burns propellant they can never replenish, capping mission life, driving up mass and launch cost, and — for defense and security operators — creating a detectable signature every time they move. Tomorrow’s Motion GmbH (TOMO), a German deep-tech company, believes satellites shouldn’t have to choose between mobility, affordability, and stealth.
That’s why we’re developing GMP (Geomagnetic Propulsion): a fundamentally new class of satellite propulsion that generates thrust by interacting with Earth’s own magnetic field — no propellant, no moving parts, no electrodes. It’s fuel-free, low-signature, and scales from 1U CubeSats to multi-ton satellites using one physical principle.
Independently reviewed by leading physicists and backed by a government-funded feasibility study, GMP is on track for an in-orbit demonstration in 2027. TOMO holds international patents and is preparing its next funding round.
