Sunil Nagaraj

Sunil Nagaraj is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ubiquity Ventures, a seed-stage institutional venture capital firm with approximately $200 million under management across three funds. Ubiquity follows a “nerdy and early” approach to investing: backing founders at the very start, often pre-incorporation, building software that reaches into the real world. Ubiquity’s current space portfolio includes Loft Orbital and Eclipse Space. Sunil previously invested in early rounds of Rocket Lab and Spire. Sunil is Ubiquity’s resident nerd and primary investment decision maker, maintaining regular hands-on experience with the technologies Ubiquity invests in. Across his 15 years of VC investing, Sunil has led seed and Series A rounds in companies that have grown to a combined market cap of $40 billion (including 6 unicorns) and returned over $2 billion back to LPs. Sunil holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a Past President of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific (the largest general astronomy education society in the world with past Presidents including Edwin Hubble and Frank Drake). He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Harvard Business School California Research Center and as an Alumni Advisor to the Harvard MS/MBA program.
