Dr. Robert “Rob” Antypas is the Space Access, Logistics, and Mobility (SAML) Mission Area Lead for AFRL, coordinating the lab’s customer engagement strategy and ensuring synchronization with the tech needs of USSF, Space Operations Command, and Space System Command. He also leads engagements with partners in the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, industry, and academia. He was commissioned by the Air Force Academy in 2007. From 2007 to 2011, he served on active duty at the Air Force Research Laboratory where he led the development and T&E of cutting-edge rockets for hypersonic boost. From 2011 to 2014, he was stationed at the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) where he led teams of program managers.
