Dr. Eduardo Bendek is a scientist and engineer with more than 15 years of experience developing space optical system at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and NASA Ames Research Center. He participated in the design and integration of the Roman Space Telescope’s Coronagraph Instrument and led astrometry laboratories at Ames and JPL. NASA awarded him the 2015 Exceptional Technology Achievement Medal for advances in exoplanet detection. He has authored over 170 publications and multiple patents, and holds a Ph.D. in optical sciences.
