Dr. David Baughman

Dave Baughman, PhD, serves as Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Frontier Aerospace Corporation, where he leads strategic growth initiatives, customer engagement, and market expansion efforts across the company’s portfolio. With more than 25 years of experience spanning the space, defense, intelligence, and national security sectors, Dr. Baughman has led and supported numerous government and commercial programs, strategic pursuits, and growth initiatives in both classified and unclassified environments. Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions at major aerospace and defense prime contractors as well as startup and growth-stage companies, with responsibilities encompassing program execution, operations, engineering, business development, and corporate strategy. Prior to entering the commercial sector, he served in multiple U.S. government organizations, including the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the National Reconnaissance Office. Dr. Baughman holds a PhD in Physics, an MS in National Security and Strategic Studies, and an MS in Space Systems Operations. He is also a retired U.S. Navy intelligence officer.
