Michael Geist

Michael Geist is the Senior Vice President of Strategy, Innovation & Growth at SES Space & Defense. Michael has more than 30 years of experience as an innovator, product developer, and business/market creator in the satellite communications industry, and uses his experience to enhance SES’s position in the Defense and Government markets. Prior to SES Space & Defense, Michael has held a number of technical and business-related executive roles with technology companies, defense contractors, and satellite service providers including start-ups, spin-offs, and “intrapreneurial” growth initiatives. Michael received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Penn State University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Saint Francis University, and he has completed various Executive Programs from the University of Southern California. He is also the lead contributor, or a named contributor, on a variety of patents related to satellite communications.
